After updating your nameservers, it can take a little time for your domain to fully connect.
Here’s how to check if everything is working properly.
Step 1: Try Your Website
The easiest way to check is to visit your domain:
If your website loads, your domain is connected.
Step 2: Try Webmail
You can also check your email connection:
???? https://yourdomain.co.uk/webmail
If the login page appears, your domain is connected correctly.
Step 3: Give It Time
If it’s not working yet, don’t worry.
Nameserver changes can take time:
- Most updates happen within a few hours
- In some cases, it can take up to 24 hours
During this time, your domain may work in some places but not others - this is normal.
Step 4: Clear Your Browser Cache
Sometimes your browser stores old data.
Try:
- Refreshing the page
- Clearing your browser cache
- Trying a different browser or device
Step 5: Check Your Nameservers
If it’s still not working after 24 hours:
- Double-check your nameservers are correct
- Make sure they match the ones in your welcome email
Even a small typo can stop things from working.
Common Signs It’s Not Connected
- Website doesn’t load
- Webmail doesn’t open
- You see a “server not found” message
