Setting up your email on your iPhone is quick and only takes a few minutes.
We recommend using IMAP, as it keeps your emails synced across all devices.
Step 1: Open Settings
- Go to Settings on your iPhone
- Scroll down and tap Mail
- Tap Accounts
- Tap Add Account
Step 2: Choose Account Type
- Tap Other
- Tap Add Mail Account
Step 3: Enter Your Details
Fill in the following:
- Name → Your name
- Email → your full email address (e.g. hello@yourdomain.co.uk)
- Password → your email password
- Description → anything you like (e.g. Work Email)
Tap Next
Step 4: Enter Server Settings
Make sure IMAP is selected at the top.
Incoming Mail Server
- Host Name → mail.yourdomain.co.uk
- Username → your full email address
- Password → your email password
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP)
- Host Name → mail.yourdomain.co.uk
- Username → your full email address
- Password → your email password
Step 5: Save
Tap Next, then Save.
Your iPhone will verify the settings and connect your email.
Recommended Settings (For Reference)
- IMAP Port → 993
- SMTP Port → 465
- Security → SSL/TLS enabled
These are usually set automatically, but it’s useful to know.
IMAP vs POP3 (Quick Explanation)
We recommend using IMAP because:
- Emails stay synced across all devices
- If you delete or read an email, it updates everywhere
POP3 downloads emails to one device only, which can cause confusion.
Common Issues
Not connecting?
Double-check your email and password.
Emails not syncing?
Make sure IMAP is selected, not POP3.
Still not working?
Give it a few minutes after creating the email, then try again.
